Testimonials

This band from southern West Virginia is truly a cool breeze of fresh, new, refined sound.  Our booking company has brought them to North Carolina on numerous occasions now and they seem to get better with ever lingering note.  They are original, they are a dance party, and they are significantly well rehearsed. Tremendous stage presence, but all of these qualities pale in comparison to their most defining one which is that they are great people. They care about your experience with their music, and you will surely care about their experience with your presence after falling in love with this unit. We’ve had them as our guests, and they’ve played host to other artists on our roster, all striving to transcend thought and energy through music. You cannot go wrong booking this group.

The Settlement’s sound has evolved so much over the course of their existence, but yet it still remains familiarly “The Settlement”.  I love hearing and listening first-hand how their sound continues to refine over the years, with tighter and more complex, nuanced arrangements incorporating elements of jazz fusion, rock, jam, funk, and groove in their composition.  Known for their captivating performances, I’m proud of how they’ve continually raised their bar and really made a mark for themselves in the region and beyond. In my opinion, the best of The Settlement is still yet ahead in the horizon.

The Settlement is one of my favorite bands to host at my venue The Grove WV, AND at my home! Fantastic musicians, with great originals, choice covers and the chops to execute flawlessly. And they’re just a great bunch of people. I look forward to every date they play here!
